Last week on Instagram I came across the account of a new local baby shop, Wee Bee Baby Boutique and was excited to see that they’re just a skip and a hop away in Chamblee, GA. While you all know it’s important to me to celebrate Christmas simply, I also realized there are a few items I really need for Alden to have this year for the sake of his parents’ mental health… more on that later! So yesterday our family took a little outing to Wee Bee Baby Boutique for some last minute stocking stuffers!
The Wee Bee Story
Wee Bee was founded by Atlanta local Ashley Jacobsohn and her family. They come with ten years of experience owning and operating the doggie day care, K-9 planet, but when Covid-19 hit their business hard, they made the difficult decision to change directions. Superwoman Ashley gave birth to their son at 8:30 am on June 1st via emergency C-section and signed off on the sale of their first business by noon on the same day.
But as they say, when one door closes another window opens. After the birth of their son, Ashley and her husband researched and became experts in the baby product market. When their fellow parent friends started looking to them for advice, they realized they had a new business idea in their hands. I can’t begin to fathom how they did it as new, sleep-deprived parents, but Wee Bee Baby Boutique opened just a few months later.
I love Ashley’s take on what makes Wee Bee unique:
“We are a family owned business that really is a family endeavor. Most days our son is playing and napping upstairs while we are working the floor. Every product we carry is one that we have used and endorse fully, and we focus our products around healthy positivity, and environmentally conscious products. We believe that babies, kids, and families, now more than ever, need creative, collaborative play options for family bonding and mental development. Screens have a time and a place, but direct human interaction and imaginative play is critical to healthy child development.”
Last-Minute Stocking Stuffers with Free Same Day Delivery!
When I had the chance to visit Wee Bee yesterday, I was really excited by all the sweet- and useful- stocking stuffers I found! They have everything that moms (ahem, babies*) could want and need, from feeding and teething necessities to fun bath-time and play items. The best part- you don’t even have to leave home! Wee Bee will deliver gift-wrapped purchases within the Atlanta metro area same day, for FREE. You busy mamas heard it here! Get those last-minute stocking stuffers at Wee Bee without the hassle!
1. Toy Stocking Stuffers
Wee Bee offers the best quality wooden and educational toys from respected brands such as Plan Toys, Melissa and Doug, BeginAgain, and Fat Brain Toys. I especially love these soft and squeeky Atlanta-themed cubes I found!
2. Stuffy Stocking Stuffers
Isn’t this little fairy the cutest? She also comes with different fun hair colors! I’m also a huge fan of the Slumberkins, which come with matching books to read with your stuffy buddy.
3. Bathtime Stocking Stuffers
These photos are only the beginning of what Wee Bee offers for bath toys and solutions. The Glo Pals were new to me and are the absolute coolest light-up bathtub toys!
Wee baby carries so many high quality feeding and teething products that I had never seen before. Ashley says their Bella Tunno Wonder bibs are a big favorite, and they fit with Wee Bee’s mission to bring positive change to the world with proceeds from each bib going to meals for children in need.
5. Baby Style and Accessory Stocking Stuffers
Wee Bee has so many soft onesies and sweet accessories for boys and girls with a number of gender-neutral items. I thought these little Cubcoats were especially fun because they convert from a stuffed animal to a soft tee or hoodie!
And More… The Stroller and Car Seat Sale!
Now these items won’t fit in a stocking (unless you get really creative), but now is still the time to jump on them! Wee Bee is currently having an incredible stroller and car seat clearance sale to open up some space 2021 models. All floor models strollers and car seats are discounted at 50% and up until they sell out. Brands on sale include UPPABaby, Bugaboo, Clek, and ValcoBaby.
The Play Room
I would be remiss if I didn’t share Wee Bee’s playroom with you! While I shopped, John and Alden had some fun daddy-son playtime in this playroom of a toddler’s dreams! Shopping with little ones can be so stressful, so it’s awesome to see a store that has thought through what parents need. It’s a perfect place to stop if you need to feed your little one or to let your toddler blow off some steam before or after shopping.
The Stocking Stuffers We Took Home
I promised I would come back to the sanity-saving stocking stuffers I went to buy! A little context: bath time and toothbrushing has been a nightmare in our house for the past few weeks. Alden knows that these are the steps leading to bedtime, and he is NOT having it anymore! I went to Wee Bee on the hunt for a few items to help ease up the bedtime routine, and walked away a happy mama! We ended up taking home Glo Pals for bathtime, “The Brushies” book, and one of these fuzzy, squishy, wheely toys… just for fun.
Wee Bee has already offered a few outdoor classes, and as the weather warms up and conditions become safer they plan to do so more frequently. Some classes in the works include prenatal yoga and lactation counseling. Follow Wee Bee Baby Boutique on Instagram and Facebook for updates!
Before you go I urge you to shop small this year and to consider purchasing those last minute stocking stuffers from Wee Bee Baby Boutique!
